This meerschaum cigarette holder was cut from a single block of genuine Turkish meerschaum and finished by hand in Eskişehir, Türkiye.
The elephant is worked directly into the block, so the carving and the bowl are one piece of stone.
The material is sepiolite — block meerschaum — taken from the seams around Eskişehir. It cuts cleanly when damp and firms up as it dries, holding detail that would crumble in most stone.
