Masonic Meerschaum Pipes
Square and compasses and related lodge symbolism, carved in relief in block meerschaum. A long-established subject in the trade, and one where the accuracy of the emblem matters as much as the quality of the carving.

Masonic pieces are carved for people who will recognise immediately whether the emblem is right. That makes the subject unusually exacting: the geometry of the square and compasses has to be correct and cleanly cut, because the whole point of the piece is legibility.
The rest of the surface is generally treated with the ornamental vocabulary used across the catalogue — leaf and floral relief around the emblem, or a plain field that lets it stand alone. Both approaches appear here.
These pieces are frequently bought as gifts and presentations, in which case the fitted case matters as much as the carving. Case details are confirmed with the atelier on enquiry along with measurements and availability.
Every piece is carved by hand in Eskişehir and photographed unretouched from every side, so the emblem can be inspected at full resolution before you enquire.
Common questions
- Do I need to be a Freemason to buy one?
- No. The pieces are sold as carvings and are available to anyone.
- Can a specific lodge emblem be commissioned?
- Ask the atelier. Bespoke emblem work is possible in principle; what can be achieved depends on the scale and the block.
