The Journal exists to help people buy well, including from someone else. This page sets out the rules it is written under.

What we write from
Guides are written from workshop practice in Eskişehir and from handling the pieces in this catalogue. We do not rewrite competitors' articles, and we do not publish figures we have not measured.
What we will not claim
We make no health, safety or medical claims of any kind. We do not claim that meerschaum filters, purifies or makes anything safer, and we do not suggest any level of use is safe.
We do not invent specifications, artisan biographies, ages, provenance or attributions. Where the atelier cannot confirm something, the site says so.
Uncertainty
Guides state plainly what cannot be determined from appearance alone, and warn against tests that damage a piece or prove nothing.
Corrections
If something here is wrong, write to info@whiteearthatelier.com with the page and the correction. We will fix confirmed errors, update the page's modified date, and note the change where it is material.
