Eagle's Claw No. 2 belongs to the atelier's eagle's claw work: one block, one carver, no two pieces alike.
The eagle's claw subject is worked across the bowl, with ornamental detailing carried around the piece.
Genuine block meerschaum is carved, not moulded. Pressed meerschaum is made from offcuts bound together; this piece is cut from solid material, which is what allows undercut detail to survive.
