Eagle's Claw with Floral No. 6 belongs to the atelier's eagle's claw work: one block, one carver, no two pieces alike.
The carver has set the eagle's claw against floral and ornamental detail, cut into the same block.
Genuine block meerschaum is carved, not moulded. Pressed meerschaum is made from offcuts bound together; this piece is cut from solid material, which is what allows undercut detail to survive.
