Eagle's Claw with Floral No. 8 is a one-of-a-kind meerschaum pipe, carved by hand at the White Earth Atelier workshop in Eskişehir, Türkiye.
The carver has set the eagle's claw against floral and ornamental detail, cut into the same block.
Block meerschaum is a hydrous magnesium silicate mined near Eskişehir. It is soft enough to take fine detail when freshly worked and hardens as it dries, which is why this kind of relief carving is possible at all.
This piece is documented in 12 unedited photographs so the carving, the grain and any natural marks in the stone can be judged before you enquire.
