Classic No. 22 is a one-of-a-kind meerschaum pipe, carved by hand at the White Earth Atelier workshop in Eskişehir, Türkiye.
Classic carving dominates the form, supported by smooth work on the surrounding surfaces.
Block meerschaum is a hydrous magnesium silicate mined near Eskişehir. It is soft enough to take fine detail when freshly worked and hardens as it dries, which is why this kind of relief carving is possible at all.
