Carved in Eskişehir from genuine block meerschaum, Knight No. 15 is a single, unrepeatable meerschaum pipe.
Knight carving runs across the bowl and shank, cut from the same block rather than applied to it.
Block meerschaum is a hydrous magnesium silicate mined near Eskişehir. It is soft enough to take fine detail when freshly worked and hardens as it dries, which is why this kind of relief carving is possible at all.
This piece is documented in 10 unedited photographs so the carving, the grain and any natural marks in the stone can be judged before you enquire.
