This meerschaum pipe was cut from a single block of genuine Turkish meerschaum and finished by hand in Eskişehir, Türkiye.
The bedouin is worked directly into the block, so the carving and the bowl are one piece of stone.
Genuine block meerschaum is carved, not moulded. Pressed meerschaum is made from offcuts bound together; this piece is cut from solid material, which is what allows undercut detail to survive.
